FORMAR SUSTENTABILIDADE - Indigenous Economies of Roraima, is a training program built with and for the indigenous peoples of Roraima, aimed at strengthening indigenous economies, sustainable production and the management of territories. Carried out by the International Institute of Education of Brazil and the Indigenous Council of Roraima, in partnership with the Insikiran Nucleus of the Federal University of Roraima and the Indigenous Center for Training and Culture Raposa Serra do Sol, the program combines training, exchange of knowledge and practices developed in the territories.
Over 18 months, participants will experience face-to-face meetings and activities in the communities, strengthening knowledge about sustainable production, processing, marketing, management, governance and organizational strengthening.
The proposal values the dialogue between indigenous knowledge and technical knowledge, always connected to the realities and challenges faced by communities.
More than a course, Formar Sustentabilidade is a space for strengthening indigenous autonomy, valuing ways of life and collectively building sustainable paths for good living in the territories.
