"We don't kill anyone, but for our land we die, because it is in our veins, in our blood. Indigenous blood is fighting not only for us, but for everyone, because we preserve and take care of our nature, not just for us. And as indigenous peoples, we are resistant, for the struggles we wage, in defense of our rights, in defense of mother earth, for our future generations," said Maria Betânia, who was participating in the event.
