It is with deep regret that the Indigenous Council of Roraima expresses its solidarity with family and friends of Luiza Rosa, 55, who died as a result of the worsening of covid-19 symptoms, in Boa Vista - RR, on March 17. Professor Luiza Rosa, as she was affectionately called, exercised indigenous education with love and attention for 30 years of her career, teaching in the Araçá communities in the Amajari, Canauanim, Malacacheta and Campinho regions, both in the Serra da Lua region, where she currently lived.
The CIR stands in solidarity with the community, friends and family since unfortunately once again we have lost a pillar of education.
We ask for prayers for the family and comfort for the pain at this difficult time.
