The Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR) stands in solidarity with the family and friends of young Raquel Raposo da Silva, 17 years old, of the Macuxi ethnic group. The teenager was the second indigenous woman from Roraima to die from the new coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday, May 9, 2020. Raquel was from the Bom Jesus community, Base Milho pole, São Marcos region, Municipality of Boa Vista. In this moment of pain and sadness, for the loss of our relative, we offer our condolences to the Bom Jesus community.
