NOTE OF CLARIFICATION

The INDIGENOUS COUNCIL OF RORAIMA – CIR, an indigenous organization under the terms of articles 231 and 232 of the CF/88, non-profit, party or religious affiliations, hereby expresses its right of reply in the face of incorrect information and disclosed, apparently, in bad faith by the National Indian Foundation on its website yesterday, 04/05/2022, at 8:11 pm, updated on 04/06/2022 at 12:37 pm.

The CIR, contrary to what was published in the Official Note of Funai,DID NOT PROMOTE ANY INVASIONnor any other act, as has been disclosed by the agency that is unaware of the social organization of indigenous peoples. The public acts that are taking place in the city are an initiative of people, communities and indigenous peoples from all over the state in their own and autonomous mobilization, according to the social organization of each participating people, each community, each region and indigenous land.

The disclosure of the Official Note of Funai with such a content, false, seems to deal, once again, and this time even worse, because it comes from Funai itself, with fake news and an attempt to criminalize an indigenous organization that has been working for more than 50 years in defense of the rights of indigenous peoples.
