Indigenous leaders deliver ATL/RR 2023 document to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office and other local public bodies.

On the penultimate day of the 4th edition of the Free Land Camp (ATL), held in Boa Vista since the 24th, a delegation of leaders filed documents with demands from ATL/RR 2023 with local public institutions this Friday (28). This year, the largest indigenous mobilization in Brazil had as its theme "The indigenous future is today - without demarcation there is no democracy".

The movement continued with the participation of approximately one thousand indigenous people from various groups and regions of the state of Roraima, who were in the center of Boa Vista throughout the week.

They went to the Legislative Assembly of the State of Roraima (ALE/RR) and the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF).

Prosecutor Allysson Marugal met with the movement to receive the document. "The document you brought will be carefully analyzed, and we will try to meet all your demands as much as possible. Achievements are not always quick; sometimes they take time, but with persistence, struggles come and go, and it is a victory for the indigenous peoples that the public prosecutor's office is pleased to witness and participate in," emphasized the prosecutor.

Right at the start of the program, the movement welcomed to the Resistance tent the regional indigenous coordinator of the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples (Funai/RR), Marizete de Souza, the coordinator of Dsei-Leste/RR, Zelandes Patamona, the representative of the Department of Indigenous Education, Lacemir Macuxi, and the head of the Division of Indigenous Education, Maria Deolícia Monteiro.

Indigenous public officials reaffirmed their commitment to and collective action with the indigenous movement of Roraima.

The ATL-RR program concludes this Saturday, the 29th, with the reception of the delegation of leaders who participated in the mobilization in Brasília.
