The Rutî Indigenous Fund, of the Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR), is open for registration for the 2nd Call of the public notice for financial support for regional, community and family projects that are part of the CIR's base. The initiative aims to strengthen existing actions, encouraging sustainable development and the autonomy of indigenous communities.
In all, 38 projects will be selected. The Rutî Indigenous Fund will provide R$2.4 million to support the approved initiatives, with 22 family projects being contemplated, with a contribution of R$25 thousand each; 11 community projects, with R$100 thousand each; and five regional projects, which will receive R$150 thousand each. The financial execution will be carried out by the Indigenous Council of Roraima.
The 2nd Call of the public notice was launched during the I Meeting of the Expanded Deliberative Coordination of the CIR of 2026. One of the main novelties of this call is that the indication of the projects will be made by the indigenous leaders themselves, respecting the governance processes of each ethnoregion.
"This new format represents an important advance in the consolidation of a financing mechanism that is increasingly connected to collective decisions and priorities defined by the communities themselves", explained the coordinator of the Rutî Indigenous Fund, Josimara Baré.
Initiatives must follow the rules established in the notice. To expand the scope of support, the projects contemplated in the 1st Call will not be able to compete in this edition, ensuring that other initiatives have the opportunity to access the resources.
Proposals can be sent until September 5, to the Department of the Rutî Indigenous Fund by e-mail selecaofundoruti@cir.org.br or delivered in person at the CIR headquarters. Applications must be made according to the model available in the notice of the 2nd Call. The approved initiatives will have a period of up to 12 months to be executed.
