"Indigenous peoples from all four corners of the country are here to be able to propose and claim, after such a difficult scenario that was going through the COVID-19 pandemic. And what brings us here is exactly to be able to say to Brazil and to the whole world that indigenous peoples continue to exist. The threats really need to stop, and we need to guarantee our territories. Our voices will never be silenced", highlighted the coordinator of the CIR, Edinho Batista Macuxi.
Held annually, the ATL is the largest meeting of indigenous peoples in Brazil. It aims to mobilize, debate agendas on territory, health, education, among other rights that are threatened. In addition to the mobilization in Brasilia, the regions also demonstrate in Boa Vista.
