The 1st Water Collection Training Workshop for AISAN and AIS was held from September 27th to 28th in the São Francisco Indigenous community, with the technical support of Environmental Engineer Ricardo R. Ramos, from DSEI-L RR/SESANI/SESAI, and with the presence of tuxauas and students from the communities of São Francisco, Repouso, Copaíba, Juazeiro, Jawarizinho and Saimã.

The collection of water for laboratory analysis involved the participation of environmental sanitation technicians from SESANI/SESAI and Fátima Andre. The collections were carried out in two stages: the first before the cleaning and drilling of the wells, and a subsequent stage comparing the samples.

The São Francisco community benefited from the drilling of a well, with the collaboration of Geologist Pedro from DSEI-Y/SESANI, accompanied by the DGTA team.

Well cleaning in the communities began on November 7th. The communities of Sete Flores, Repouso, Homologação, and Jawarizinho have already been served; the others are waiting to be attended to.
