Communities debate traditional knowledge and start construction of the PGTA of the Wai Wai Indigenous Land

Leaders and young people from the Xaary and Anauá communities, of the Wai Wai people, are meeting to discuss the management and sustainable use of the territory and its natural resources during the workshops of the Territorial and Environmental Management Plan (PGTA) of the Wai Wai Indigenous Land, in Roraima.

Check out the video to see how the second workshop went, held by the Bem Viver project (CIR, NCI and IEB) and had the collaboration of partners from the Socioenvironmental Institute and Iepé.

The PGTA is a formal document that serves to record the life plan of indigenous communities, in addition to guiding public policies, with an emphasis on collective well-being and the management of natural resources for future generations.
