The lecture was organized by the deputy coordinator of the Tabaio region, Márcio Cleiton, with the support of the school's pedagogical coordination, in the person of Professor Jodemar and the coordinator of the health center of the Pium community, Aldilene.
According to the deputy coordinator, Márcio Cleiton, the lecture was very important within the community and this is helping to awaken in young people the situation they are going through. Where many times, they as leaders do not know how to deal with the cases that have been happening. But that this is a means of prevention and thus seeking young people to manifest themselves, that symptom that they are experiencing.
"This was the first time that this lecture took place and for us it was very good. We are very honored when a professional comes to help us and this is very important for us as leaders. Because this professional who transmits confidence to these young people and this is very gratifying, because sometimes this young person cannot talk to his parents at home about these situations. Through this lecture we have already been able to identify those people who suffer in some way. We will seek these lectures for parents as well, so that they can better understand what is happening with their children", he said.
On the occasion, the State Deputy Coordinator of Youth, Messias Pereira, was also participating in the lecture and spoke to the participants about the new coordination and the activities that will be developed by the CIR Youth Center.
Participants were able to follow a lecture on some situations that have lately been affecting many young people in indigenous communities. This is the case of anxiety, depression, self-mutilation, suicide, alcohol and drug use, teenage pregnancy and how to take care of mental health.
