The project"Alternative water catchment system"is a CIR and CAFOD partner and through the Department of Territorial and Environmental Management (DGTA) on November 25 and 26 took the system to the community, which takes solar energy via eight plates used specifically for the community's irrigation system in an area of 2 hectares for planting annual agricultural crops, this is one of the first solar-based systems specifically aimed at irrigation fostered by the Indigenous Council of Roraima.

The area is under the technical guidance of Giofan E. Mandulão, Macuxi people, Agronomist Engineer of the CIR and the solar energy system (photovoltaic) was under the responsibility of Wiglyson Kennalty Alves Feitosa, telecommunications technician in the area of network infrastructure and renewable energies.

The solar energy structure measures about 17.6 square meters, consisting of 8 solar panels 1 meter wide by 2.20 meters high and a potential of 450 watts, enough to meet the need for a 2 hp water pump, delivering 6.5 cubic meters of water, that is, about 5 to 6 thousand liters of water per hour, with a daily consumption of 52 thousand liters of water per day of irrigation. The entire kit is in the area near the house of the second tuxaua that has a manually dug water well.
