The Covid-19 pandemic has reached the indigenous communities and lands of Roraima. Since March 27, the Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR), which represents 246 communities, has been carrying out an emergency campaign to help the indigenous peoples of the state in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic. Hygiene kits, bottles of hand sanitizer, PPE and basic food baskets are distributed. The communities also receive booklets in traditional languages.

But the scenario is critical. Health authorities are silent and there is a lack of basic assistance. "We don't want to lose any more relatives to this disease and for that we need resources," said CIR coordinator Enock Taurepang. "These are lives that are at stake."

We ask for help. It is possible to donate any amount through theCIR bank account (Agency 2617-4, Current account: 59027-4, Banco do Brasil, CNPJ 34.807.578/0001-76).It is also possible to donate hygiene materials, cleaning, sewing thread and elastic, as well as food. Donations can be delivered to the CIR headquarters, at Avenida Sebastião Diniz, 2630, São Vicente, Boa Vista.

Help us save the original peoples!
