The Indigenous community of Barro, Surumu Region, is located in the Municipality of Pacaraima, and this morning (30), had houses affected by the heavy rains that made the Surumu River near the Community, overflow, the leaders still calculate the material damage, but it is estimated that 55 families were directly and indirectly affected, and at least one house in the community had a total loss.
Other communities may also have had some material loss, but due to heavy rains and the difficulty of communication, due to the distance between them (communities), they have not yet been contacted.
Through videos, the leaders record the flooding of the Surumu River, isolated houses, and little by little they help each other with what they can.

The Tuxaua also stressed:
"The food (of those affected) will be done here at the school, we are removing the people to the Tuxaua Silvestre State School."
Daniel Sampaio Alves, Administrative Coordinator of the Indigenous Center for Training and Culture Raposa Serra do Sol - CIFCRSS, which is located in the Barro Indigenous community, informed:
"At the Training Center, the fish (from the internal breeding tank) left, a part of the plantation was lost. The students are surveying how many animals the water took, such as goats, among others."
