The criminal attack, according to Tuxaua's complaint, is due to surveillance and monitoring activities in the region, which has sought to stop the entry of non-indigenous people without authorization, illegal miners, mining machinery, alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs. The tuxaua reported that she suffers threats and does not feel safe in her community. Due to its proximity to Guyana, the region is chosen by fugitives, illegal miners and trafficking routes.

The Legal Counsel of the Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR) forwarded the complaint to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), Federal Police (PF) and National Indian Foundation (FUNAI) to investigate what happened and that the culprits pay for the damage caused to the leader.
