We have been in defense of the indigenous peoples of Roraima for 50 years, there have been long days since the demands and demonstrations of the 1970s to the present years, since the first meeting interrupted by those who thought they could protect us.
The story comes from Clovis Ambrosio, to Dionito José, Jacir de Souza and Vovó Bernaldina, the struggle and this struggle has prevailed at the valuable cost of the bravery of traditional leaders, both men and women, our great gratitude remains by bringing together more than 1000 indigenous leaders in Boa Vista, Roraima it was a long eight days in Boa Vista from April 5th to 14th, we felt the warmth and indignation of claiming the obvious, the struggle for life.
And everything was planned by the communities, their peaceful acts shouting protests, against injury, fascism, prejudice and invasion, against the violation of their bodies and their sacred mother earth.
We evaluate the Mobilization of the 3rd Free Land Camp in Roraima as positive, because it brought together Region Coordinators, Tuxauas, healers, healers, teachers, indigenous health and sanitation agents, university students, psychologists, communicators, artisans, musicians, lawyers, among many others, but mainly we gathered as Peoples, whether Macuxi, Ingaricó, Patamona, Wapichana, Yanomami, Wai wai, Taurepang, Sapará, we united against this policy that tries to decimate us, and this without hiding they do not fear, nor do they seek to cover up their acts, they make them clear, explicit and open. But we are Indigenous, and as our best phrase says "united people, they will never be defeated," we marched against the prejudice, avarice and anger that surrounded us when we went to FUNAI, the Government Palace, SESAI and the Assembly.
We march for ours and the lives of so many others who judge us, we emphasize that we do not accept PLs 191/2020 that allows mining in the T.Is, we stress, out with the genocidal president, out with mining and Marco Temporal.
We will worship the joy of one day a policy populated by indigenous people, that decisions, as well as within our communities, are made by us, not by the white man or woman miles from here, not by the agencies that should but are blind when it comes to protecting indigenous peoples and our territories.
The CIR did not promote the mobilization, it was the leaders of more than 33 Indigenous lands approved in Roraima, and more than 250 indigenous communities who carried out the mobilization autonomously.
It is just one more milestone in the history of the Indigenous Movement of Roraima, and it is just beginning.
