With no arrival of the vaccine against Covid-19 in Brazil, and with no emergency plan for indigenous peoples, the Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR) continues with the emergency campaign to support indigenous peoples and reaches its seventh stage. And on behalf of the indigenous peoples of the CIR, of the 247 communities, the deputy coordinator Edinho Batista thanked each of the intuitions of its members who had directly and indirectly supported this cause.
"We continue with this mission, an arduous mission, a risky and dangerous mission, but we continue to donate ourselves to serve our indigenous population and we demand that the State, municipalities and the federal government create emergency plans to combat Covid-19 that is killing our population. Today we miss people, indigenous leaders, women, men, children who left leaving nostalgia and a great legacy, a flag that we will keep in memory forever and we will continue with the hope of better days", he highlighted.
